… to go entirely off-topic for a moment. This has nothing to do with creating, or digital, though it is music. And it’s important: by parodying herself and the Black Eyed Peas’ “My Humps”, it seems as though Alanis Morisette has readjusted the balance of the musical space-time continuum itself. The universe may again be in harmony. What greater power can musical comedy have? Enjoy.

Thank you to my mate Mike of GarageSpin. Somehow, I believe Alanis may have saved the music industry forever. And she really was the best cast member on You Can’t Do That On Television.

I can't believe she was on "you can't do that on television", I also can't beleive someone else remembers that little gem :).

oh and the video's good too 😉

  • Glad that you said parodying herself. Although, I don't know that she truly realizes that she is just like Fergie, whom she lampoons.

Check out her early work, and videos, to see exactly how much she was / is a pop tart.

    Warble away in obscurity!

  • That. Is. WONDERFUL.

I don't think I'd really quite understood just how terrible that Black Eyed Peas track is, but hearing the lyrics sung slowly and melodically.. Wow. Quite a surprise.

  • d'aiiiiii heard that!!!!!

i used to always turn off the tv when they talked about the chef and he would pop up, he would scare me so much.

  • I loved YCDTOT man!

  • Who do you think's in the burgers?

This was a brilliant video though 🙂

Like her own lyrics are all that "10'000 spoons when all you need is a knife, meeting the man of your dreams and then meeting his beautiful wife"… How very hallmark… now make sure to sing it in that high whining stlye and make it as maudlin as you possibly fucking can.
