Think of it as an “I feel freaky” button for Arturia’s MicroFreak. In addition to useful automation and editing features, a new editor adds 4 random methods for making sounds.

It looks like a killer combo – one of the more versatile and affordable instruments to come out recently, plus now easy software integration.

We’ve been following Momo Müller’s editors-for-everything for quite some time now. Spend a few bucks, and you get a handy plug-in and standalone editor for lots of popular gear. Unofficial/unauthorized – this is not an Arturia software tool – but we’ve had good luck with these before.

And sure, you bought that gear to get away from your computer and have more hands-on time. But adding an editor lets you easily automate parameters tweaks from your DAW, save and recall settings with a project, and … go a bit random, if you like.

Your hardware.
Your software (standalone/plug-in) editor.

Features:

– Complex sound changes
– Direct access to the sound parameters
– All controllers can be automated.
– X-Y modulation of all parameters
– With the „Random“ function new sounds can be generated quickly.
