Come in person to Berlin or tune in online from anywhere all day and evening Sunday, as Refuge Worldwide joins Root Radio, RA, and Radio AlHara to send urgently-needed assistance to earthquake relief. Also on the radar: in-person efforts in Melbourne and Berlin, and we can gladly add more and more ways to give.

Refuge Worldwide – Resident Advisor – Root Radio – Radio AlHara

Sunday February 19, a musical showcase of Syrian, Turkish, Kurdish, and Palestinian artists will fill two floors of Arkaoda, the Berlin-Neukölln club. Four organizations have partnered for this one – Berlin online platform Refuge Worldwide, Bethlehem-international collective and streamer Radio AlHara, independent Root Radio from Istanbul, and Resident Advisor. (If you are there in person, there’s also an art fair – while supplies last.)

If you’re here in Berlin, come say hi. But you’ll also be able to tune in all day Berlin CET 14:00 – 01:00 – that’s 8AM – 7PM New York time. Head to Refuge or AlHara:

Al Gharib in Melbourne

Of course I’ll share events you can participate in online and encourage folks to donate directly – but I’m also glad to share other in-person events, particularly as this has a healing and grieving role for many communities.

Swan Meat just played in Melbourne with the community event platform there Al Gharib, who are also working to collect funds. Here’s more on their fundraising efforts:

Also welcoming any compilations or other musical actions, and we’ll share those, too.
