Various readers have wanted to know more about Ableton Live, the audio
workstation / sequencer / looping / live performance software. I use it
regularly in production and performance, and reviewed the latest
version in the January 2005 issue of Macworld. The free online version
of that review is now available, so go check it out
and let me know what you think. It's a Mac review, but equally
appropriate to Windows users; the versions are basically identical in
features.

That review is unchanged by this week's introduction of Operator and
Live 4.1; Operator is sold separately (though has the same interface I
love in Live), while Live 4.1 is a free bug fix release only. I won't
give away the ending.
