BeatHawk is only going to be free for a few days. In fact it’ll go back up to it’s normal price of $9.99 tomorrow (6th). If you don’t know the app here’s a very quick description:

Portable Music Production Studio : create beats, compose whole tracks, sample, record, sequence, perform, mix and arrange your own music!

Ok, that might be too quick description. The app comes pre-packed with high-quality sounds from UVI sounds, as well as instruments and effects. You can use the included UVI sounds, or load it up with your own samples, or , as you’d expect, there’s a bunch of in app expansion packs that can be bought. It’s also worth knowing that the appĀ supports Ableton Link, Audiobus, AudioCopy and AudioUnits as well. You can export your mixes, stems, MIDI tracks or even as Ableton Live project files. As you’d expect you can take advantage of a variety of share options, like YouTube or SoundCloud. And the app has a 16 track sequencer with up to 16 patterns per part. You can use pad, keyboard and pattern performance modes and useĀ time stretching.

It’s pretty versatile. One last thing to add. It’s actually a lot of fun to use, and it’s universal app too.

So I have to ask why you wouldn’t grab it now?

BeatHawk is on the app store now, and free for a very limited time (did I mention that already?)
