Listen to 8 hours of sound dedicated to Palestine — and act

Music and sound are not action — at least, not normally. But sound can recenter you, rewire your brain, and let you catch your breath before that action. So I find myself returning to this eight-hour broadcast by London’s Sister Midnight FM, which includes Palestinian artists who have long been featured on CDM, including Muqata’a, bint mbareh, and Dakn.

Radio Alhara at five years: 24-hour broadcast from Palestine

Today, Radio Alhara is marking five years of operation by playing 24 hours of archival material from its home in Bethlehem, Palestine.

Live radio from Gaza, Khan Younis and Bethlehem-Hebron choirs meet

On December 24 and 25, radio will broadcast live from Gaza and produce a live-streamed exchange between a choir in Bethlehem and Hebron and one in Khan Younis. It’s an unprecedented live connection to a world whose violence has been shrouded in darkness. It’s also a way for live streaming to reconnect a Palestine divided across the West Bank and Gaza.
