News cycles tend to move from crisis to crisis – ignoring what happens as crises deepen. Artists of Turkish, Syrian, and Kurdish heritage deserve more attention in Berlin and Germany generally, so today is a great time for some music, awareness, and action as areas impacted by last month’s earthquake still urgently need support.

I’m glad to get to host this one with Berlin online platform HÖR. We’ve invited some favorite artists here. You can tune in live – and go ahead and comment via Instagram, etc. in real-time; I’ll be watching! If you miss it, those streams will remain on HÖR’s platform.

All the resources I’ve shared previously still work if you can make a monetary gift. But even if you can’t, showing some awareness of what our friends and colleagues are going through with their loved ones I know remains important. Our world is too interconnected to pretend that we’re separate from pain and neglect anywhere else.

Programming runs from 3pm – 7pm Berlin time – that’s 9am – 1pm NYC, etc.

We’re joined by the lovely Magna Pia, Qusay Awad aka. Qكيو  (of the up-and-coming C1 Collective), Rabon Aibo, and Gin Bali. That’s a lineup of folks I’m glad to have with or without a crisis – so they deserve our support and attention twice over.
