New Loraine James is on the way, bringing temperate sounds in these days of climate extremes. The full album is due on Ghostly in March, but you need the single right now.
Here’s the video, largely demonstrating that chilling and listening to Loraine James is better than your daily commute, for what it’s worth:
I love that it’s free-flowing, but with attention to detail – fluid and spontaneous without feeling like “just a jam.” Off-beat patterns just tumble over one another. It’s a moment of collectedness, but it’s also emotional. Bleep describes the coming full-length as the artist “in her soundscaping element, slipping between smooth and spiky as she evokes the ’emotional temperature’ of each track.” I haven’t heard the full-length yet, so maybe this is just the mood of 12 Degrees, but it’s a great place to start.

If that hasn’t fully satisfied you, she’s also got an NTS mix out now. Track listing:

And yeah, “IDM jazz” isn’t the worst description of all of this. Maybe 12 Celsius is better, though.
She also dug this up and shared on her X feed; maybe someone in CDM Nation knows more about this one:
