AMD Ryzen Zen 5 CPUs break iLok plug-ins, but a fix is coming from AMD

Musicians updating to AMD’s latest-and-greatest Ryzen 9000 Series / Ryzen AI 300 Series CPUs have found they’re unable to use PACE’s iLok License Manager and plug-ins that use its copy protection scheme. Fortunately, a fix from AMD is inbound that should resolve the issue. Here are the details.

Apple has released macOS Sonoma 14.4.1. As verified by some plug-in developers, this includes fixes for an issue that could cause plug-ins to fail. It also includes important fixes for USB hubs and Java.

Don’t upgrade to macOS Sonoma 14.4 yet: plug-in compatibility issues

macOS Sonoma remains stable, but a change reportedly related to AU plug-in validation in the recent 14.4 update can cause compatibility issues. With no significant reason to rush to upgrade, that means you should delay until plug-in developers have updates.
