Spectral Plugins are now free as maker goes out of business

Spectral Plugins, a relatively young plugin maker, has announced the end of its business. They’re making their three excellent plugins available for free download, complete with macOS and Windows VST2/VST3/AU/AAX support, so grab them while you can.

Pulsar’s new w495 is a perfect Neumann EQ model – and it’s free right now

Having at least one really great 3-band EQ in your arsenal is a very good idea. Pulsar’s w495 looks like a must whether you’re a fan of the classic Neumann original – or you’re still a novice (but more on why I think that shortly). Now through October, this plug-in is free for macOS and Windows.

Saffron’s 7 Days of Sound is online pay-what-you-can classes for female, non-binary folks

From Friday January 27 – Thursday February 2, the excellent Saffron music tech programming is offering seven days of online workshops, ranging from running a label to vocal production to mastering. It’s pay-what-you-will, exclusively for women, non-binary, and trans folks worldwide. And with this faculty, if you identify with one of those groups, you might want to check your calendar.
