Sinevibes continues to provide top-notch support for KORG platforms. The maker’s chorus, flanger, and phaser are now on KORG’s newest NTS-1 mkII and NTS-3, with more coming soon. If you bought them on past platforms, the upgrade is even free.
Raised in Kharkiv, at home in Japan: Sinevibes remains an awesome reason to buy into KORG’s platforms. Artemiy has been raving to me about the new models. One general comment from all of us to KORG – it’d be great if targeting across different SDK platforms were made more seamless. But at least the new devices open up expanded capabilities and richer DSP. Here, that means these aren’t just a straight port but offer up some new functionality.
In a real show of love for the customer base, Sinevibes isn’t charging you if you already bought these for an older device. They’re a free upgrade for existing KORG plug-in users. But if you were thinking of dipping your toes into this scene, the new tiny, ultra-cheap KAOSS Pad and baby keyboard are a great way to go – with the deal sweetened a lot by investing in these Sinevibes effects.
So that’s:
All three now add dry/wet mix and modulation stereo width parameter control.
Whirl v2 additionally adds even more functionality:
- independent stereo processing
- dual-stage Bode phaser design – think endless “barberpole” phaser glissandi and the Bode creation of the 1960s, which in turn gives you —
- heavier spectral morphing as you crank up feedback
Artemiy has evidently been toying around more with Roland’s little S-1, for a lovely ultra-tiny but big-sounding rig. Here it is in action:
Good times; I’m sold.
