CLÄPP II from Beardyman is the perfect Ableton Live clap — and more

Crispy claps on-demand, human and machine, meet a bunch of processing and sample Device tricks in CLÄPP II. London live-looping musician extraordinaire Beardyman had an itch and scratched it using Live and Max for Live, and the results are delightful.

Lorenzo Colombo in live session, framed by speaker stacks, equipment from Torso and Soma on the table and metal percussive plates suspended behind him and on tables, as he strikes one plate with a hammer.

Dream with this: solenoids, percussion, and circuits in live Torso session

Here’s a perfect way to treat your ears at the start of the week. Sound artist and percussionist Lorenzo Colombo recorded this ethereal, cosmic live set at Torso Electronics in Copenhagen. The dadamachines automat toolkit and its mechanical possibilities get woven together with Torso’s T1 and S4 hardware, and the results are pure magic.

Motherly, sequencer percussion synth, is pure rhythmic happiness

Moog’s DFAM has become almost a genre of instrument — like the Minimoog architecture or original Moog modular. Look no further than this delight from Rainbow Circuit. On the surface, it looks like another model of the percussion synth (Mom!). But it sounds like nothing else, and if you’re looking for more synthesized, sequenced percussion to infuse a smile into your day, Motherly is like uncut dopamine.
